/>
Hello,

First off you all need to get the new Common CD and Mute Math CD they are the "bolocks!"

Been awhile since I posted but im pretty sure it's for two reasons:
1 - IM LAZY
2 - FACEBOOK HAS TAKEN MY SOUL...as they say "a picture speaks a thousand words"

Anyways highlights from the past few weeks have been:

1 - Beach Vball tourney in Holland...Team Van Dutch rocked it
PICTURES

2 - Chris's wedding...Congrats buddy it was a fantastic wedding...I personally like the drunk part the best!
PICTURES

3 - Live Earth...the single best concert I've been to...amazing...and once again I really liked the booze part.
PICTURES

4 - Beach VBall tourney in Poole, England...managed to avoid the rain on Saturday and even got a good tan going...we didn't all that great but fun none the less...Sunday...don't really wanna talk about Sunday...

NOW - nothing major planned, just trying to avoid the flooding and "keep my head above water" so to speak...man my jokes suck...

Anyways this has been a boring post, but I've been lazy and should keep making posts so I have something to look back on cause god knows no one actually reads this thing...except or course for you, thank you so very much for persevering with me!

Upcoming - Portugal road trip with Mr Paul Mooney and then Mum and Rob come for a vist for 3 weeks, one of which will take place in France...so a couple trips to look forward to :)

Aight im done, have a great summer if that's what you can call it...WORST SUMMER FOR WEATHER IN HUMAN HISTORY!!!!!!!!!

Cheers

scutter<div wait to see you at xmas :)

It’s been a little while since I did journal/diary/narcissistic style post but I’ll keep this short and sweet then get back to duct taping my windows for the upcoming scorpion invasion...

So two weeks ago I headed over to Alicante, Spain to visit my good old friend Danae (Egypt trip buddy) to do a bit of partying and laying in the sun...it was a really fun trip and I made some new Spanish friends…well I think I did…I couldn’t understand what they were saying…Spanish is tough…but there was a lot of pointing and laughing so they must have been having fun!

Highlights include:
- Free drinks all weekend :)
- Reading my book on the beach…well trying to…the beach was topless…
- Sushi…wow had I been missing raw fish…insert joke here
- DRIVING…it had been about 8 months but I got to drive Danae’s car :)
- Finding our own little beach
- Chatting with a couple 4 year olds on the flight over
- Disappearing for a couple hours…neither Danae nor I have any clue where I went haha

Pretty much it…here are the photos:

P I C T U R E S

Post part 2:

I also just had one of the best weekends in London yet! It was Josh’s bday so Josh, Sarah, Pat, Pat, Steve, Viv, and me all went to the O2 music festival in Hyde Park in the center of London….it was so awesome, all performances were top notch and the beer was flowing like a river…oh yeah I had some kid on my shoulders so he could see…nearly dropped him…apparently a child nearly falling was funny to my friends…you are all douches…anyways just wanted to mention it was a great weekend, Sarah and Josh GOOD CALL!!

Here are the pics from the concert:

P I C T U R E S

Those are the big things as of late…heading to Holland this weekend for a Beach Vball touney in The Hague with Marieke...leonie and her friend will be cheerleading of course..so that should be an awesome weekend…team name is Van Dutch soooooooo clever ;)

Anyways that's nuff from me, I’ll post some pics next week….PEACE

If you do not find this funny you might as well keel over and die

Not much to say about this...just watch it..you will laugh

It is nevertheless untrue since the venom has no effect on the scorpion itself, nor on any member of the same species (unless the venom is injected directly into the scorpion's nerve ganglion—quite an unlikely event outside of the laboratory). The misconception may derive from the fact that scorpions are poikilotherms (cold-blooded): when exposed to intense heat their metabolic processes malfunction. This causes the scorpion to spasm wildly and this spasming may appear as if the scorpion is stinging itself. It is also untrue that alcohol will cause scorpions to sting themselves to death."

So there you go, lesson learned...

I also read the bottom section on wikipedia which has now informed me that should Scorpions decide to launch a full scale attack on my home I'm completely screwed...

You may want to go through this list and either fix your house or jump out the window because the Scorpions are coming...

"PEST CONTROL
- Scorpions are difficult to control with pesticides alone. Therefore, the first control strategy is to modify the area surrounding a house.

- Remove all trash, logs, boards, stones, bricks and other objects from around the home.

- Keep grass closely mowed near the home. Prune bushes and overhanging tree branches away from the house. Tree branches can provide a path to the roof for scorpions.

- Store garbage containers in a frame that allows them to rest above ground level.
Never bring firewood inside the house unless it is placed directly on the fire.

- Install weather-stripping around loose fitting doors and windows.

- Plug weep holes in brick veneer homes with steel wool, pieces of nylon scouring pad or small squares of screen wire.

- Caulk around roof eaves, pipes and any other cracks into the home.
Keep window screens in good repair. Make sure they fit tightly in the window frame.
<img width='1' height='1' June...

Now I don't want to take all the credit, I'm sure the media may have played a small part and perhaps the fact he had been lying through his teeth the whole type='text'>sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

alright so it's 2am on monday night...well i guess tuesday morning and for whatever reason i can't seem to sleep...so what better way to put myself to sleep than write what im sure will put others to sleep...on that positive ENJOY!

Well first things first I hope everyone had a good mothers day...Mom I really hope you did, sorry I couldn't be there :( But I also thought I would give everyone a quick history on where Mother's day actually came from....told ya I'd put you to sleep....

well it turns out the fine people at Wikipedia have much better explanation than i could have ever dreamed of writing up...you didn't think i would actually to try to write the history out did you?? I'm bored...but not that bored...anyways here's the link:

MOTHERS DAY HISTORY LINK YAY

Alright, next on the agenda...LIME SCALE...I hate this stuff and you can't get away from it in England...you are constantly having to scrub the sink, bathtub, tea kettle and generally anywhere that tap water goes...drives me mental and to make matters worse when you make ice cubes and put them in your drink you get little lime scale floaties...sick...I have taken to buying ice from the store...

NEXT...there is a store up the road that sells wine 3 bottles for the price of 2...that should put me well on my way towards Cirrhosis of the liver...

Next...after reading/watching the news for a number of years now I have come to the conclusion there are way to many douche bags out there running our planet...i have therefore decided to ad "Douche of the week" to my site...if you will please take a look to the right you shall see this weeks contender...and what a wanker he truely is...god help us all if this poor sap continues to run one of the most important financial institutions in the world...god bless democracy...well that or the ability for the richest nation to appoint who it likes as president of the world bank...i digress

anyways this is long...and let's face it...rather boring...but it has put me well on my way to sleep so here we go with scutter sleep time take two...good nite!

Oh how I do enjoy my weekends in jolly London, I have yet to have a bad one...though losing my credit card and debit card this weekend for the second time didn't make this one as good as it could be...I'm an idiot...Anyways just had a pretty stellar weekend with Steve, Josh and his work buddies (Arthur you truly are one of the nuttiest Brits I've met yet)...

Friday we kicked things off with a little beer session and the greatest bagel ever in Bricklane...Paul Devro (Josh's homie is here from Van for awhile doing some DJ gigs around europe, one being Fabric in London this Friday...Stoked), Yoel our other Canadian buddy made a brief appearance...nothing major to report from Friday just some drinks and couple clubs then headed home...

Saturday we ended up at Clapham Common...Common = Park in the UK...drinking beers all day and kicking around a football (soccer ball)...me and josh represented Canada to fullest by kicking the ball at each other or at random unsuspecting people...good laugh...brought back memories of the pool in vegas haha...but yeah made our way to a little BBQ later that night with Josh’s work friends and ate some tasty steak and more beer and shots then hit up some cheezy bar...more booze, stupid dancing, and general mayhem occurred before I lost my debit card and made our way home...solid night...14 hours of straight drinking...

Sunday was a sickening day cause we headed into London to check out the kick off of the Gumball 3000...the cars and girls there were UNREAL...Enzos, Porsche GTs, Maseratis, Lambos, Bugatti, RR, Bentley's...the list goes on and on...even got to see Mr. Pimp My Ride himself: Xzibit and also saw Jay Kay from Jamariqui and Tim Westwood...all of Piccadilly was packed with a few thousand people watching the cars begin the race...the Enzo and Bugatti were so damn loud it was crazy...I got a few vids below and some pics to check out...sic sic sic...anyways we finished up the day discussing how we could come up with the 30,000 pound entry fee and a 100,000 pound car so we could do the race next year...so far it's between dealing drugs, robbing a bank, gambling, or selling our kidneys...only time will tell!

And that sums it up, hope ya had a good weekend LATER!

J A M E S

Well my first weekend chilling in the backyard turned out to be a pretty decent one...Friday afternoon I even cut the lawn...I'm very domesticated...but it actually was really cool to take advantage of the backyard, finally feels like summer is here!

Long and short of this weekend:

Friday night - had a few friends over and Chef Roberts and Chef Scutt whipped up some killer curry in the kitchen for everyone while putting a serious dent in a big ass bottle of gin...also played some poker...well everyone else did i was out as usual in ten minutes...i hate poker...dont have the patience for it...hate hate hate...anyways that was Friday...rather pleasant

Saturday was wicked...spent the day in the backyard in the sun, putting together the bbq, reading, listening to music and getting stuff ready for the bbq...oh and had a glass of gin and tonic in my hand for pretty much the entire day haha...had some peeps over that night and proceeded to quite well boozed and ate tons...oh yeah, Mooney you are never EVER borrowing my clothes again you sick bastard, WEAR UNDERWEAR FOR CHRISTS SAKE!!!!! But yeah sat night was fun was plenty fun...Sunday morning was rough tho...

Sunday was up at 730am to head to the Rockingham Racetrack with Mooney...his brother in law is racecar driver on the British touring circuit so we got passes to go to the pits and stuff...saw a few crashes which were entertaining...sucked tho cause Gareth's (Mooney’s brother in law) car was having serious problems so he never finished a race...I attached a video tho...his car is the blue and orange one...ps racecar drivers pull hotties!

Anyways that was my weekend...actually felt like a good summer weekend and hopefully will be the first of many to come!

Heading to London this weekend to see the terrible twosome...Josh and Pat...assuming Pat hasn't died...hope you get better soon son!

K I'm out!

M J S

“Welcome to Alaska”

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_rcnf_sOahjY/RiTS2em_67I/AAAAAAAAACA/sKv5V5MdW6U/s400/P4070444.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5054396515187944370" />

E G Y P T

Pictures 1
Pictures 2

Well I did it, I survived a 9 day whirl wind tour of Egypt, and wow it was definitely one of the most amazing trips I have ever been on!

I wasn’t really sure how to write about the trip so what I have done below is just broken up the trip by the different places we went to…I think this is the best way to go over things…I have a feeling this is going to be a long post…I have also added wikipedia links to all the places we went so I don’t have to explain them…and you don’t have to be bored hearing about them in detail haha…

So the trip started off on Friday with both Danae and I making our way to Cairo from our respective home cities (Reading and Alicante)…14 hours later (including a 6 hour lay over in Istanbul and Budapest) and we were both in Cairo…at 3am…

We had our trip organizer Aladdin meet us at the airport which was cool and he gave us the run down of how our trip was gonna go down…very cool dude and did a wicked job setting everything up… this is his company: www.egyptealacarte.com definitely recommend it if you are planning on going to Egypt! Anyways the trip went as follows:

Cairo
Video of Crazy Traffic in Cairo

We spent the first day in Cairo checking out the pyramids and all the ruins and stuff…even got to ride a camel…very fun but they are pretty angry animals and are a real pain in the butt to get on and off of…apparently people fall off quite often…the guy who was taking us on the camel ride asked us about Baksheesh…this means tip…we didn’t know that…Danae thought he was trying to sell us Hash haha great start to the trip…but yeah the pyramids were amazing...they are so bloody massive it’s hard to comprehend how the hell they managed to build them...but yeah spent the rest of the day checking out a papyrus place and a perfume “museum” and then finished things off at the national museum seeing king tut’s hard ware…he truly is the king of bling…Diddy’s got nothing on Tut…we then got a ride from our driver to the train station who told us lots about his life and stuff…”that’s beautiful” (Danae are you sure about that???)…we then caught our sleeper train south to Aswan (12 hour journey)…we managed to keep entertained tho…see the pics haha..

Aswan
Video of Aswan

Aswan is a really cool city in the south of Egypt (or the Upper Nile as they say there)…but a very chill place and it never rains…well that is a lie cause it actually rained for the first time in 3 years for a couple minutes when we were there…I guess I brought the rain with me from London…but yeah we spent the afternoon chilling by the nile having lunch, then saw the Aswan Dam and the island of Philae…oh yeah and that night we went back to the same restaurant on the Nile and spent about 5 hours smoking shisha, eating, drinking mint tea, and polishing off a couple bottles of wine…very fun night…the locals in the restaurant were very entertained by our drunken antics haha…as a result of our drunkenness we did not end up making the trip in the morning to Abu Simbel because the convoy left at 3am…right around the time we passed out haha…but we did get some rest before our Felucca trip that began the next day…

Felucca
Felucca boat Video 1
Felucca boat Video 2

Wow so the Felucca was probably one of the coolest things I have ever done! So much fun and so so so relaxing…basically you spend two days and two nights sailing up the Nile in a traditional Egyptian sail boat…well at night the bost stops on the shore and you eat and sleep on the deck of the boat under the stars…we had a Kiwi couple with us on the boat (Sophie and Phil) and they were really cool, had a good laugh with them…we also had the raddest felucca captain ever..CAPTAIN FANAN…he is a Nubian dude who has been sailing the nile for 11 years…www.niledancer.blogspot.com…one of the most genuine people I have ever met, he cooked us awesome traditional food on the boat, taught some Arabic and Nubian…KABOOOSH (inside joke sorry)…he also is a total regae fan and loves the lifestyle and “special” cigarettes that come with it…mashmun alatoon (ask danae what that means)…let’s just say by the second night we had a serious case of the munchies haha…anyways, the Felucca was fantastic and if any of you ever go to Egypt and go for the felucca ride you HAVE TO GO WITH FANAN, he made it the best part of our trip by far!!! Some quotes include:

“Welcome to Alaska”
“Cheers big ears, same goes big nose, like wise peace eyes, how come big bum”
“Egyptian Whiskey”
“Ankaboot”
“Mashmun Alatoon”
“Canada Dry never die”
“CheersehMate”
“It’s very good Sudanese weed”
“Kaboooooosh”
“Smile for the Nile”
“Keep smiling”
…k too many to list haha

Kom Ombo and Edfu

So after our two days of relaxing on the Nile with Capt Fanan on the Felucca, we met up with our guide and were taken to Kom Ombo and Edfu to see the temples there…very cool temples and absolutely massive, those Egyptians did not mess around when it came time to build temples that’s for sure…oh yeah also saw a couple 2100 year old mummified crocodiles…kinda gross/cool I guess haha…anyways spent half the day checking those places and then made our way in a convoy up to Luxor…even had our own police officer in the car with us, complete with an AK 47…makes you feel safe!

Luxor

So I guess Luxor is probably the most famous or second most famous (to Cairo) city in Egypt and for good reason…its located right on the Nile and is surrounded by relics and ruins…some really really incredible views and things to see there…when we first got there we were put up in our hotel which was right on the Nile with a spectacular view of the west bank…after check in we then met up with our guide who took us to see Karnak…Karnak is the biggest temple in the world (over 100 acres)…it is totally unreal to see in real life…the columns and obelisks are huge…you can fit something like 100 people on the tops of the columns…according to our guide of course…but yeah spent some time checking Karnak then made our way to Luxor Temple just as the sun was setting… this made for some great lighting for photos of the temple (see pics)…after checking out the temple and taking lots and lots of pics we went for supper down by the Nile…once again we had to hit up the old Shisha pipe…god I love that stuff haha…then we had an earlyish night cause we had to be up at 5am for our hot air balloon ride over the valley of the kings…

Hot Air Balloon
Hot Air Balloon Video

At this point I think we were getting used to really early mornings cause we actually got up fine…might also have to do with the fact that we were both so excited to go on the hot air balloon ride!! …They take you out to the sugar cane fields on the west bank and load you and a few others in the basket of the hot air balloon…next thing you know you are 1500 feet above Luxor, the west bank, and the valley of the kings…the sun had just come up so the lighting was fantastic and it was really quite and peaceful (except when the pilot fired the engines to fill the balloon with hot air)…most likely the best way to start a day…spectacular views and just really relaxing and mellow, I will never forget it that is for sure…about an hour later you land in the sugar cane fields and are bombarded by little kids asking for backsheesh (tips) even tho they haven’t done anything for it haha…we were then taken to meet up with our guide at the hotel…

The rest of the day was spent in the valley of the kings checking out the tombs of Ramses, Tut, and some others…we also saw the temple of “hotchickenssoup (Hatshepsut) and the valley of the workers…by the way tombs are cool and everything but god damn do they stink and are very humid…it’s kinda gross but what can ya do…after all this we headed to the bus depot to catch our bus to Hurghada for our snorkeling trip the next day…

I know this is getting really long, sorry, but I like writing haha anyways now might be a good time to grab a glass of milk or something...a little intermission, don’t worry I’ll still be here when you come back!

Better?? I thought so! K on we go…

Hurghada
Bus Ride Video
Underwater Snorkeling Video

So we ended up having to be on a bus for 7 bloody hours!! With the help of an ipod and a good sense of humor, Danae and I managed to keep ourselves entertained so it was all good…we also met a really nice guy and his sister on the bus who was showing us some Arabic music and pics and stuff…cheers Ahmed…but yeah we got into Hurghada that night and had some dinner and Shisha…next day was more fun for sure!

We had to be up and out the door at 8am to catch our snorkeling boat…yet another early morning…but definitely worth it…we met some really nice people on the boat and had a lot of laughs…we also got a chance to chill on a beach for a bit and I got to finally use my camera in the water!! Check the pics…it was so wicked to be able to take photos of the reef and fish!! Oh yeah it was really windy that day…nearly got washed overboard…haha good times…after the boat trip we had to jump on a bus back to Cairo…another 7 hour bus ride…good god did it suck…that night Danae had to catch her flight back home….very sad to say good bye and realize the trip was winding down :( but it’s all good we had an amazing time and I still had one more day left in Alexandria…

Good Bye Danae Video

Alexandria

Alexandria was an interesting city…had a very strong European feel to it…I got to see the catacombs, Great Library, and where the lighthouse used to be (one of the 7 wonders)…so the library was pretty amazing I think it was finished being built in 2003 and is quite the impressive piece of architecture…check the photos…anyways Alexandria was a pretty quick day and not quite the same without miss Danae but what can ya do…that night I chilled in the hotel for a couple hours and then made my 12 hour journey back to jolly old England completely exhausted…

So yeah that was our trip in a nut shell…k a very big nut shell…if you have made it this far then good for you, you have my respect and admiration cause this was the longest post ever haha…anyways I hope you enjoy the pics and the video’s…Hope you all had a great Easter!!

Salem

M I C H A E L

quick recap and off to the land of the pharoahs

Hello my friends,

How is everyone doing?? I’m gonna try to make this one quick and dirty…so here goes…

1 – Fred CONGRATS on getting signed on to the best Italian club vball team, u are my god and saviour of volleyball…keep it real over there!

2 – Was back in Holland last week to see clients…I ate as many croquettes as possible…I now have an ulcer…playin..they only made me blind in one eye for a couple days…gotta love deep fried mystery meat!

3 – KLM airlines rule…they run on time, have great snacks and lots of leg room....

4 – Did some shopping for Egypt…I caved in and went to H &M…you really can’t beat the prices there….yes I am cheap…deal with it!

5 – Played vball on Saturday and met a very cool Greek girl Nadia (see told ya I’d get ur name on here!)... went out with her and her friends on Sat night for some dancing…saw some drunken English dudes get in fight on the dance floor (its what the English are best at, drinking and fighting)

6 – HAHA forgot about this one…there was some 70 year old dude by himself at the club ripping it up on the dance floor…so so so funny…he was even up on the stage at one point dancing to ice cubes “put ur back into it”….i think he “put his back OUT” ...k that was a terrible joke...

7 – Sunday was chill.…though we had steves mate, also named steve, from Scotland crash at our place…the guy is effing funny…when you can understand what exactly he is saying…

8 – Oh yeah we made a feeble attempt at a pub quiz on Sunday as well…we sucked so we quit and left…

9 – So much for being concise this is getting long so I’m gonna cut it short here…

Alright I guess I'll have to go back to the drawing board and figure out another way of making these things shorter…actually forget it I LIKE WRITING LONG POSTS so that’s what I’m gonna do and if it is a problem for you then go watch tv!

Oh yeah one more pretty big thing…well to me at least…you no longer have to type in www.euroscutter.blogspot.com anymore cause I bought my own domain names… www.michaelscutt.com or www.euroscutter.com is all you have to type…what a nice guy I am for making ur lives easier :P

Anyyyyyways I’m gonna cut things off now…I probably won’t be posting on here again till I get back from Egypt so wish me luck…hopefully I wont fall off the hot air balloon or into the Nile, but you all know me and I’m sure ill find some way of getting myself into trouble, so if you don’t hear from me in a few weeks assume I’m in some Egyptian jail or wandering around the desert looking for an oasis…and on that positive note…PEACE IM OUT

t t u c s s e m a j l e a h c i m

Killer weekend in Spain...OLE!

<img style="display:block; Haha)…then with josh at the wheel and danae, god help us, navigating we headed back to into the city to get ready for our second night out…

Sat night got kicked off around 9 as we wandered the city in search of some tapas…found a wicked place with a very lippy waitress who had a crush on kev…very entertaining…after dinner headed off to the find some local watering holes…ended up making friends with some locals and they took to some other bar…spent awhile there and after that headed to some other really really cool club on the beach…had about 3 rooms and was there dancing and stuff until 8am…never watched the sunrise from inside a club on the beach…kinda weird...went outside and took some pics of the beach and the new day then made our back to the hostel….Kev and Josh had to bounce right away as their flight was at 11am…danae and I got to sleep in for a couple more hours but got woken up thanks to our not so friendly hostel manager promptly telling us to “Get out”…

Well initially me and danae planned to spend the day in Valencia but danae in her hungover state and me still kinda tipsy thought it would be fun to drive to her place an hour and a half south in Alicante…might not have been the smartest move but was a fun mini road trip none the less…got danae to pull over on the highway so I could run out and pick a fresh orange…best orange ever…k it tasted like any other but was still cool…got to Alicante and did a quick drive around, saw the harbour, beach, castle and danaes place then got dropped off at the train station and headed to the airport back in Valencia..haha like I said maybe not the smartest move but im not a smart person….so yeah spent the next 8 hours making my way back to reading…I would officially like to say the trains in england SUCK, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CAN THEY RUN ON TIME FOR ONCE, IS ALL I ASK!!!!

Anyways that was my trip to Valencia! Now im sitting at Heathrow airport waiting to board my place to Holland for a two day work trip…airports are becoming less and less cool…anyways have a great week…

m i c h a e l see a client at 8:45...needless to say I am REALLY bloody early, so chilling in a cafe eating a bacon sandwich thinking about all you wonderful people...cept for you Perdo...anyways figured I might as well write a quick post as it's been a couple weeks and I figure everyone has had a chance to enjoy my fantastic video tour of the new digs...

So over the past few weeks I havn't gotten up to a whole lot BUT we did finally get a good sized TV for the living room...32 inch widescreen, it's a bit older but works, hooks up to my lap top, and fills in the corner of the room, so I'm happy...oh yeah and it was only 50 quid which is pretty damn cheap!....what else what else is there...oh yeah Josh's buddy Kev got here last week so went out with those two fella's on the weekend in London which was a good time...highlights include: Josh and Kevins wine glass party trick of dropping it on the ground and it shattering...ended up at a weird bar that had a few really good live bands...saw some american about elbow deep down the back of his gf's pants in a pub (see pics below at ur own risk)...josh winning a 5 dollar bet with me...oh yeah met londons equivilent of the soup nazi, the cheese nazi...he didnt like joshs attitude so didnt give him cheese on his chips (fries) but i got cheese haha...sunday was spent in camden town with some other canadians smoking hookah, drinking mint tea, and eating at that really cool moroccan place we went to before...love it i can't wait to smoke some hookah in Egypt...that pretty much sums up my weekend...

This weekend im going to Valencia, Spain with Josh and Kev which will be awsome...so stoked and it looks like we will be getting a cameo appreance by Danae...so yeah hopefully I'll have some great photo's to post on here from the weekend...I gotta get going now, I have managed to occupy myself long enough and now I have jump on my train...

<a it's been a very up and down week/weekend...had some issues with getting someone into my old place but we have managed to find a girl who wants to move into the old place...so far so good...not sure I have mentioned this before but the girl who was supposed to move totally sold us out and caused me and Steve to lose some cash in the process...hate pure hate...however we are now all moved into the new crib and it is dope...VERY happy with it!

So the weekend was spent moving, getting settled in to the new place, drinking a bit, and playing some vball...nothing major that needs mentioning...Oh yeah I almost forgot...i just booked a couple wicked trips for the coming weeks...March 23 - 25 I'm headin to Valencia, Spain with Josh and his homie Kevin from Canada...should be dope...then two weeks after i get back from Spain I'm heading to Egypt with Danae which will AWSOME...been dying to go to Egypt for a long time so figured while im in the Neighborhood might as well hit it up...Pyramids, Nile, Sphinx, desert, coral reefs...SO STOKED...

Anyways, that's enuf from me, have a good weekend!

mike think...

So just had a really good week…well mostly a really good weekend the week was fairly quiet…though I did watch Green Street Hooligans, which is a wicked movie and I highly recommend it! This weekend I ended up in London once again with Josh aka team canada aka dyslexia aka now a fan of dirty martinis...

So started things off on a quieter note Friday…I was in London seeing clients and figured I’d swing by Josh and Pats and go grab some food…had some very tasty mac and cheese at a pub, then we loaded up on candy and went back to their place for a little movie night…watched Jackass 2…wow that movie is wicked…then made my way back home.

Saturday had to do some running around and get things organized for my move into the new place this weekend…so stoked to move…then I headed back into London to meet Josh…he finally got a hair cut after about an hour of us wandering around Clapham.…then we headed to Camden town…that place is so dope, I’m gonna have to go back when I have time to do some shopping…some really cool funky stuff there…also lots of wicked food, which leads to the next activity of the day…eating at another Moroccan restaurant…cous cous rules, I love the stuff…and nothing beats having a good meal in a really chill environment listening to Moroccan music while smoking some Shisha or Hooka as some also say…it’s pretty funny how no matter how old you get anytime you smoke something (Dave insert joke) you always have to try and blow smoke rings…neither of us could do it but ill be damned if we didn’t look like the coolest people in there tryin! So after our apple cinnamon Shisha session we made our way to Vineopolis once again to see Sarah, Josh’s sis…

I used to hate Gin, but I gotta tell ya after you start drinking it a lot for free in a really cool place like Vineopolis it starts to taste a whole lot better…I even got Josh onto the dirty martini team…so after getting nice and toasty and listening to some French dude tell us why Jackass is nothing compared to some show called Dirty Sanchez me Sarah and Josh head to the club in Farringdon…we got there a bit early but turns out being there early was definitely worth it cause we had prime seating downstairs to drink our ridiculously expensive drinks…once we were good and drunk we took it to the dance floor and ripped it up for about 4 hours straight to some of the best DJ’s I’ve ever heard…MSTRKRFT = WICKED…so much fun, gonna have to do it again…clubs in London really are quite ridiculous the place had 5 massive rooms and I think there were about 2000 people there…we then made our way home around 4 I think…I was a little tipsy…but apparently not as bad as Josh who managed to walk straight into a TREE!!! Haha sorry homie but it was too damn funny not mention on here!

Sunday was pretty chill, got up late and went into London and watched Blood Diamond in Leicester square...same place where all the movie premiers are…very cool and very good movie…after movie made my way back home and that my friends was the end of my weekend!

Hope you all had a lot of fun as well….this weekend is moving weekend and given that I am a gypsy I really can’t wait, cause moving is so much fun…..

I’ll post some pics of the new place once I’m in and settled in.

Later

Michael

London 2 Team Canada 0...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_rcnf_sOahjY/RdpCfuO7bqI/AAAAAAAAABU/24gMf3cmrKc/s400/DSC00717.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5033408646293974690" />

Aight so haven’t posted in a couple weeks but that’s cause last weekend I took a rest to get better…had a bad cold and felt like garbage…but I did manage to play ball on Saturday and Sunday…guess I wasn’t that sick haha…We also won both our matches on Sunday which was a nice change of pace…tho I did get taken off cause I swore at the ref…Perdo they just don’t get our emotional style of playing over here...difference of cultures what can I say 

Anyways last week didn’t get up to much other get myself excited for the weekend that just passed… Josh Michnik is now back in the house, holla homie…this meant a weekend in London to kick things off properly! So after a meeting on Friday with some clients I made my way over to Clapham for lunch with Josh to catch up, then back to his place to finish up my work for the week before kicking things off! (Side note – went to Gourmet Burgers it’s a chain in London…EPIC…one of the best burgers I’ve had)

So we started our Friday off by heading to Vinopolis to do a wine tasting/boozing tour…we met up with Pat and our wine tasting crew and stormed the front door…k we politely asked if Sarah, Josh’s sis, could come out and get us in…free wine and booze…I love life…so our little wine posey walked around tasting wines from all over the world…had to skip the champagne tho cause once you’ve had Crystal on the Sunset strip nothing else will suffice…oh yeah we found out Josh is Dyslexic and that it is a virus and can spread…it is also responsible for anything dumb he does…so yeah after the wine we hit up the Bombay Gin bar where Sarah was slangin wicked Gin cocktails…and I’m sure as many of you would have guessed I had a dirty martini with extra olives cause it’s just how the big dogs roll…we then continued to try every cocktail Sarah had in her arsenal and made our way out quite loaded…Sarah had finished her shift and joined up with us at this point...we then made our way to one of my favorite spots…Hoxton 

We hit up a bar in Hoxton…same one as my bay then made our way to another club called Tea (it is spelt wrong on joshsdoorbell.com…sorry Josh but ima stickler for journalistic integrity)…the club was fun but slowly our crew dwindle to Josh and I ripping around talking to anyone who would listen to two Canadians (one with dyslexia)…met some nice Italians tho…however josh couldn’t understand what they were saying…cause of his dyslexia…so we rolled on out…HAHA oh yeah just remembered this part…some dude on the bus wouldn’t shut up about poverty in Africa (k that sounded really bad) but he was talking gibberish about economics and stuff he clearly had no clue about and didn’t make any sense… so me being me, along with about 8 other people on the bus, had to pipe up and correct him on what he was saying…some yelling ensued but I think he has his facts straight now haha…anyways that was pretty much the end of the night…good times

Saturday Pat, Josh and I headed to Arsenal to watch them play Blackburn…Cheers for the tix Pat ura leg…the game was pretty lame tho…0-0 and about 3 shots on goal…but what can ya do, still got to see a football game in the best stadium in England with Henry and Co on the pitch…so finished the game and went to the pub to celebrate Pats bday…so turns out drinking from 2pm till 7pm in the same pub is not always the best plan of action…leaves many quite tired….therefore after that pub we made our way to another place in Angel (dope area in London) but our crew was dropping like flies…after that bar it was just Yoel me and Josh…Yoel took us to a cool little club/lounge in angel then bounced when me and Josh wanted to hit up a club…key word there being “wanted”…now normally I am navigational Legend…unfortunately like all great navigators reading a bus sign is not part of our skill set…we ended up in Cockfosters (north London) about an hour away from where we wanted to be…or so we were told by the guy laughing at us who was sitting in front of us…he gave us a beer for being entertaining then we got off the bus crossed the street and waited for the next double decker back to where we came from…thaaaaaaaaaaat pretty much wrote off the rest of the night…two hours later we were back home..haha

Sunday was equally challenging…we got up late and headed into London for some food at a wicked restaurant that Sarah recommended, by Leicester square…well once again we got lost trying to find it…we found Soho, Covent gardens, Chinese new year, a street it turns out we had been on the night before, then eventually Abeno Too the restaurant we were trying to find the whole time…around the corner from where we started…dyslexia…it will get you every time…the food was wicked and worth the journey…made my way back to reading after eating…all in all in pretty wicked weekend…

I’m heading back into London this weekend to see Mstrkrft with Josh and Sarah…should be dope…and hopefully provide a good post…

Keep it real

CHECK THE alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5027811021750316658" />

Welp another year another bday over with, thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a magical evening...honestly though it was great to see you all!

The night started out with me and Steve having a few beers at the house and eatin some chicken...for the record Steve you have no idea how to cut a chicken it pains me to watch you try...so yeah had a couple drinks at the house then made our way to the train station to meet up with the others...it really is great how you can drink in public here, we ended up necking (slamming) a few beers on the train to london which is always fun...met up with the always charming Patrick Healey and homie Simkins in Paddington...then made our way to Hoxton square near old street (home of Jack the Ripper)...but yeah I really really like Hoxton it's a such a dope area to go out...there are ton of bars and pubs and stuff, you can pretty much go there for a month and never go to the same place twice...but anyways managed to get myself quite loaded and saw everyone I was hoping to see and have drinks with...cept obviously for the Fam and friends back home, thank you everyone for the cards and emails, I miss you all a TON!

Saturday was fun, had planned on going back to Reading in the afternoon but got a last minute call from Pat to meet up with him and Simpkins to watch some footy...never one to pass on a good time I made my way back over to his place...we then decided we wanted to watch the last bit of the england rugby game and the Arsenal game in Soho so made our way there...Pat I know you love the pic I have up at the top of this, it's just for you buddy ;) ...I took that pic while Pat was trying to sprint to the pub so he wouldnt miss any of the game, thanks to my dawdling and the buses being messed up he missed the first 30 mins and WOW was he happy haha)...had a few beers in a pub and watched the rest of the games, then grab some really good chinese before making my back to Reading in the evening...Today (my actual bday) has been spent chillin around the house and played a couple matches of vball...
went out for some dinner with friends after the game...all in all a very entertaining weekend can't wait to do it all again next year.

Also just wanted to make a couple shout out to those that are also having bdays recently:

Mark Roberts...you handsome devil
Claire(Marks better half)...lippy little blond
Racheal...lookin forward to hearin all about it
Hammerrrrrrrrrr...birthday buddies for LIFE!!!
Danae...we shall celebrate our bdays in Morocco!!
Tanner...well urs was a long time ago but I know how you love all the bday attention you can get!

I'm pretty sure i got everyone there but if i missed you you can lecture me about it later!

Anyways, time for me to go to bed...have a great week.

scutter

<a And before I get going I would like to publicly admit that yes Tanner your home land is wicked and I got a lot of love for the Netherlands...Now write that down cause it's likley to be the last nice thing you hear from me :P

Anyways back to to the trip...so flew out Wednesday night with Em my coworker to Schipol airport in Amsterdam and made our way North to the charming town of Zwolle...home of our client...Had a couple late nights and long days of meetings but all went very well...

Friday after our last meeting (which were in a converted Cathedral...very cool) I had to catch a train down to Rotterdam to meet my friend Leonie...well i used to think the trains ran on time in holland but they dont...took 3 hours to get there...but well worth the journey as I had a guided tour of The Hague with a great girl. Even got to meet a friend of hers on the Friday night and play some racketball which apparently I suck at...did tour around The Hague on Saturday which was cool, it is a really nice clean city with great food...DUTCH PANKCAKES AND STROOP RULE (see picture)...Sunday we made our way out to the beach which was awsome but a little bit cold and windy...k very windy and very cold but I'm sure it will be awsome there in summer...will definatley be making trip out there for some beach vball...Anyways the whole weekend went really well and I had an awsome time...THANK YOU LEONIE :)

Monday I had to do a training session with the clients and then flew back home in the evening...plane landed early, I couldn't believe it, didn't know they could even do that!

But time to head out for the weekend and off to Holland again for next week for work...you'd think I'd start to learn the language by now...

<a yet...well friday wasn't in London I was in Reading and in fine form with my buddies getting leathered (means drunk)...nothing major happened just had a good laugh and a bit of dancing...

Saturday however was a lot of fun...me and Steve headed into London in the evening to watch Arsenal destroy Liverpool at Pats house while enjoying some beer, greasy fish and chips, and Pat's messed up stories and theories about life in general...after the game Steve headed to the misses and me and Pat headed into Covent garden to a Brazilian bar to meet Yoel and some of his other buddies...we had a wicked time there... they had a live Brazilian band with about 25 people on stage singing and playing instruments, they even had a crazy "Doc from back to the future" looking dude as a conductor or Maestro if you will (see pic above)...Well we had a bunch more drinks...i tried a bit of SAMBA dancing...it's kinda hard...and met lots of cool peple and will definatly be making another trip ther...Mooney you need to go bud you'd love it...Pat headed home early and me and Yoel eventually made our ways home after grabbing some food, chatting with randoms, and figuring out the bus service...speaking of which the buses in London are dope its like a cheap double decker tour, it got to see big ben and Westminster Abbey right up close...good times

Today Pat, Yoko (Pats friend) and I headed to china town for some dim sum...hadn't had dim sum in years but it wasa really good...reminded me of all the good asian food back home...after lunch met up with Steve again and we made the treck back home...thought I'd also snap this pic of some delicous Cuttle Fish mmmmmmm

Very busy month and a half...

First off MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So I havn't posted in a long time, sorry, though im sure no one lost any sleep over it!

Anyways I do have a lot pics and stuff I will be throwing up at some point but for now I just wanted to give a quick run down of what I've been up to:

Work has been great, I spent a few days in Holland 3 weeks ago seeing one of our new clients which was pretty cool...me my boss and our sales guy made a road trip out of it...turns out driving from England to Holland is not glamorous as it sounds...its a pretty long ass trip (7 hours)...next time I see them i will be flying...the road trip was fun tho, we went through the chunnel which was pretty cool and also got to see the motorways of France, Belgium, and Holland...they are pretty much the same as the ones at home...cept the signs are written in a different language...anyways work and that stuff is going reall well, ill be spending most of my time in Holland for January with this new client so going to try to get some sight seeing done while there and visit some friends which will be cool...

Also had Perla come for a visit for a week which was fun, we went to see John Legend (PIMP) at the British Music Academy in London and it was an awsome show!!! We also went to Paris for a few days and took the Eurostar (train) there, once again i got to go through the chunnel...So Paris is AMAZING one of my top 3 cities in the world...there is so much to see and do there, the food is unreal, so much culture, beautiful people, cool language...pretty much has everything going for it, I will definatley be going back! Oh yeah we also went to Buddha Bar for Perlas bday which was really cool...probably the best bar I have ever been to...also one of the most expensive...I have now set a new bar (no pun intended) for myself on expensive drinks...so we ordered a martini and a scotch and soda, bill comes....32 Euros (40CDN)!!!! Only place that even came close to that kind of price was in New York at 12 US for a drink...Congrats to Buddha Bar for smashing the old record haha...

Just about to head into London to go to a house party for New years Even with some friends, but just thought I'd drop a line and give a quick update...I'll be putting up some pics in the near future...or else if you are on my facebook you can see them there.

Have a great night everyone!

Cheerio

Scutter
Am I IRISH?????

So I assumed people would make mistakes about my accent while I was here...but IRISH?!?!?! come on, I might mumble a bit, but I didn't think it was that bad...to be fair I was in a bar, and the guy who asked looked like a psychotic bald garden knome who liked to eat hamsters, but still IRISH!!!

Other than that, oh and Pat nearly fighting some dude, my weekend was pretty chill...went out for a romantic dinner with Steve...um that sounded bad...to Pizza Express, probably my favourite restaurant in England (mostly cuase I have a bunch of free vouchures from work, and nothing tastes sweeeter than free food, just ask Paul Mooney)...Saturday layed around and made my way into London in the evening to meet Pat...somehow I ended up at Embankment in London and went for a nice little walk along the water, it is a really cool spot (see pics below)...then had some desert and wine at a wicked restaurant with Pat and his Fam...ps to those of you coming to visit England DO NOT tell people here that no playoffs in the premiership is LAME...learned that the hard way from Pat and his Dad...Pat and I then met some of his friends to watch a local band play...went to an after party at the bands house and hung out in a basement...reminiscent of grad 12 or something...though most of the people in the band were about 18 - 21 soooooo guess that made sense....after about 2 kilos of fish and chips back at Pats I passed out...

Sunday did some shopping with Steve on Oxford, Regeant, and Carnaby street...watched the football game in a pub...checked out covent garden and made my way home...

I amaze myself sometimes.. so for the train ride home I cheaped out and went for the student price for the rail ticket (saves about 4 pounds) then spent the rest of the 40 minute journey being paranoid I was gonna get busted...of course I didn't cause im THAT smooth...but still, I have real job, I'm not poor...so why on earth do I cheap out on these things...who knows, I guess I take after my Dad (how is the mini liquor bottle collection coming dad?)...anyways that was my weekend...check the pics below cause I got some pretty cool shots...

Cheerio...

Cafes, Van Gogh, Sex shows...Only in Amsterdam

Well folks I realize it has actually been quite a long time since I updated ye olde blog, but I finally have something note worthy to write about....

So last weekend me and my hobbit friend Steve (flatmate) and eternally cursed friend Mooney (old flatmate) decided on a weekend excursion to the wonder land that is Holland...Our destination of choice: Amsterdam...So right off the bat I gotta remind everyone to remove all liquids from your carry ons, good old Steve learned that the hard way as he sprinted to the Gate at the airport with about 3 seconds to spare, apparently the Scottish can run...Upon our landing we made our via train and foot to our hotel, the finest 1 star hotel in alllllllllll of Amsterdam called "The Old Nickol" in the heart of the red light district...good times were to come....our room feature all the amenities including 3 beds and a sink...okay so a few amenities may have been lacking, but we didn’t go to Amsterdam to sit in our rooms...or at least we thought...we spent the afternoon walking around the red light district and grabbing some lunch before we figured we should have well earned nap...4 hours of nap later it was time to shower up and head out for a night of drinking...

We started things off at a little cafe where a nice Reggae man gave us a funny tasting cigarette that made mine and Mooneys heads spin...we then made our way into the red light district to wander a bit and check things out...my good friend Pat who I have mentioned on here numerous times put me in touch with a friend of his named Eva who ran a local pub/bar there, which was our destination of choice...after a few beers from our now good friend Eva we headed off to in search of fun with a list of places to hit up courtesy of...you guessed it Eva, once again thank you...the next destination "the pink elephant" where we lined up with a bunch of Americans and some old people to watch a live show...turned out the show was naked people having relations...very entertaining, especially when Mooney thinks it's a good idea to use his camera with the flash on in a place like that...needless to say bouncers were NOT happy and took his camera for a little time out...After the show started to get repetitive and Mooney got his camera back we head out to a real bar...night starts to get a bit foggy here due to excess alcohol but long story short we lost Mooney, went a to a club felt like elves compared to the freakishly tall giant dutch people, then Mooney found us we had some more booze and cabbed it back to the hotel...

Next day got up bright and early at 1pm and headed out for some lunch/breakfast and in search of Mushrooms for Steve and I's lab rat, you know his name MOONEY...well we found him some mild ones in a local store and he chowed down...turns out mushies and Tapas don’t mix so well as Mooney had to take a break outside before he removed the contents of his stomach...we then headed to the sex museum...pretty cool but was once again too much for Mooney's stomach to handle...after that we hit up a cafe for a smoke and to watch the football game...by the way weed, football, and techno music go really well together, I never would have guessed...we went back to the hotel to gear up for another night out....Sugar Factory was our club of choice, and lucky us...it was Jazz night...but regardless we got pretty sauced and tried to hook Mooney up with a lady or two but unfortunately for the ladies Mooney had other plans...not hooking up with girls and going home with two hobbits instead (me and Steve)...regardless it was a good night out and I learned the reason the Dutch are so tall, apparently it’s cause they eat a lot of veggies...

Monday ended up consisting of us sleeping till noon, walking around the Dam for some food, then making our way to the Van Gogh museum...pretty cool if ur into art...not so much if you aren’t...then we checked out the Vonderful park (dutch joke...sorry) and made our way back to the hotel to collect our things, take a quick look around some sex shops, then jumped on a train to the airport and flew back home...

End of story, I hope you have enjoyed this segment of Mikes life in Europe...look forward to upcoming blogs about vball, more of Holland for work, Sheffield possibly, maybe even Scotland, and a very special visit from a very special girl named Perla...

Cheerio all,

Scutter
Quick little update...

Hello ladies and gentlemen

Nothing too major to write about for this week...that wasn't much of an opener, not exactly going to entice anyone to read further...ah well, regardless here is what I've been up to:

Lots of vball and work for the past couple weeks...weekends have been spent mostly drinking and buying stuff...splurged on myself and picked up some really nice bedding...i now sleep in what I call a cloud...yes I know that sounded gay...Saturday night was pretty interesting tho...did a little bit of bar hoping...hit up about 4 diff pubs and bars in Reading with a crew about 10 deep then with our everlasting wisdom we decided to head to the University (from here on called Uni) bar called the Union (kinda like Felicita’s at UVic cept way bigger and with three different rooms each playing diff music...also had an upstairs lounge area where you can order these drinks called snake bite for about 2 bucks a peice!! they may be pink and metro sexual but cheap booze is cheap booze so we got nice and messed up and looked ballers buying up the bar infront of all the school kids (so sad)...haha oh yeah the best part is that you have to be going to Uni to get in or else know someone there who can sign you in...we were all old and no longer going to Uni, so we had to ask random 18 year olds in the line if they would sign us and in turn we'd pay their cover...probably one of the lower points in my UK life experience...but it was worth it cause it was a really fun night that ended with Marky B fighting with Pete and falling in the mud (which was wicked), Charlie ended up getting in an argument with a girl and calling her some lovely names because she had had enough of him making fun of her hair (it was really bad hair), no idea what happened to Mooney but somehow he got separated and he has no idea how when he went home but is pretty sure he walked, I took a random cab home by myself cause i had to be up at 8 for vball...thank god the clocks went back an hour...

Vball on Sunday was aight, we won our first match and lost the second match...probably one of the most infuriating games of my life but what can you do...I'll have to take out those frustrations tonight at practice....anyways that's all i got for now...kind of a Sunday was nice and relaxing, got up around noon, made a kick ass little breakfast (I am the Egg master, challenge me to a cook off I DARE YOU)...then headed to the gym to watch some vball...vball was pretty good, looking forward to playing in some matches...after headed over to Mark, Dave, and Paul’s place to watch some footy and the Shield...so yeah pretty chill weekend... This week will be pretty interesting, just signed on a new client a work so have a ton of work to do to get them all set up with us by Nov 1st...fortunately i have vball tonight and Thursday night...so can take out any frustrations there...Oh yeah got my web cam today...so if ya want to have a creepy conversation with me:

HOLLA ATCHA BOI

Welcome to the elite QC club Mr. David Marino Cleve Ruperto

As 2006’s senior member of the QC club, I would like to say Happy Birthday and welcome you, Mr. Ruperto to the club on behalf of all its members!

I think you will find this birthday to be a real turning point in your life. If you haven’t already had one, now is the time to have a quarter life crisis where you realize a good chunk of your life is over and you will be dead soon…reality sucks…you may decide to take up drinking more (though I have reviewed your file and I think you have done more than you share for a 25 year old) you may start to think about settling down and having kids (though once again I’ve reviewed your file and I’m quite certain you already are…dropping the “L” bomb was a good start (didn’t think I knew did ya) )…you may also start to think about a career change (or in your case finishing school and starting one)…you may even do something drastic, like someone I know, and fuck off to another country for no particular reason, and just to make the move smoother start seeing a girl who lives on the other side of the planet two weeks before you leave (Not that I know anyone who would do something dumb like that :| )…and finally and possibly most important you will likely realize that the way modern medicine is going we are going to live to 200 so it’s not really a big deal at all, at which point you will grab a bottle of Crystal or perhaps even Grey Goose and get fucked up like you never have before!

Hope ya have a good bday buddy,

Cheerio,

Michael James Scutt aka EuroScutter

I finally have a home!

Welp I finally have a place to call home...Earlier this week I got a call about a place that I really wanted to move into, letting me know that they had decided I was the favorite person and wanted to offer the place to me...not sure why they picked me, but I'm guessing it was the dimples ;) ...so the place is actually only about 3 years old which is a nice change...most places here are at least 100 years old!...so yeah order my whole bedroom set earlier this week and it will be at the place on Monday at which point I will officially be back to my pimpin self...I will have two roommates: Steve a Scottish bloke, and Michelle an English lass...never lived with a girl before so that will be a bit different...no more walking around the house naked i guess...

So other than getting my house situation sorted out last week I also had a couple things going on at work...We hosted the Responsys Leaders forum in London at that Landmark Hotel (sick hotel)...so I got to meet a lot of clients and have some drinks with the execs of our company...we also got taken out to a really nice dinner in London...finally got to have some sashimi and ahi tuna salad...it had a been awhile...also got to go into London again on Friday for my first solo meeting with a client for a company called which? that went well...was actually kinda fun to pitch to a prospective client...friday night was uneventful...watched most of the first season of sopranos...Saturday ended up being pretty fun...headed to a town called Maystone in Kent for Alanas bday (happy bday Alana)...had some drinks at her place and headed to some pub...then made our way to a bar...3 floors and everyone played SHIT music...I swear to god if i have to hear any more 80's music somebody gonna get hurt reaaaaaaaaaaaaaal bad...so yeah the highlight of the night was the subway on the way home and chatting to some fatties in the line for the cab about why Vancouver is way better than Maystone Kent...sooner or later someone is gonna punch me I'm sure...so yeah just got home and now I gotta move my shit into the new place...and on that note im out...

HOLLA ATCH BOI

ROC solid weekend....JIGGA WHAT???

<img style="FLOAT: left; Jigga Who?...k that said I'll get going on the post...So weekend started off with a romantic dinner with my flatmates Mark and Paul at pizza express...then we headed back to the flat to play a little poker for a few hours with a few blokes...I was out second of course cause I have no patience for poker...then once Paul got knocked we headed to the bar to meet up with some south Americans he met a week ago...had some more drinks and ended up chilling at their place till about 430...all in all a pretty fun night, oh yeah turned out on of the girls we met up with is dating a guy on my vball team...small world...

So the weekend got off to a pretty good start, then I got a phone call from the legend Pat Healey who had an extra ticket for the Arsenal football match in the new Emirates stadium which is SIC...So headed into London around 1pm to meet up with Pat and his boys for the game...I roll up to the stadium to meet Pat and there is a sea of red jersey's (60,000+ to be exact)...the stadium is brand new and absolutely amazing...we walk in and come through the hall and into the stadium and I was blown away by the size of the place...take a look at the picture below...so Arsenal went on to destroy Sheffield United 3 - 0 and I gotta say, people in Canada get into hockey games and go crazy but I have never seen people go as mental as I did at the football game...the British are BAT SHIT CRAZY about football, so much fun to be a part of...anyways the game was really cool then we headed off to a pub for a few drinks...well about 6 pints...but who's counting...well we all know Cunningham would be, "I've had 5 beers, 2 tequila shots, 3 jager bombs, 2 red bull vodkas, and 4 rye and sev's...I'm soooo shmammered"...oh how I miss making fun of you Matty...but yeah we had some drinks and bounced around some pubs/bars in London..even tried some strawberry beer (kinda weird)...then I booked back home on the train...

Sunday was pretty chill, slept in and watched some more football...Sunday night however was EPIC...me and Mark had tickets to the Jay Z concert (thanks Paul real shame you had to give those away haha)in Wembley arena...WOW best concert I have ever seen...the show kicked off at around 730pm with Kano as the first opening act (sick mc from London)...he was then followed with Lupe Fiasco KICK PUSH KICK PUSH KICK PUSH COOOOOOAST...followed by UK legend Tim Westwood spinning...then out came the Jigga man himself and I think the roof was nearly blown off, it was so crazy, 20000+ people going mental...and as if all that wasn't enough about half way through out blasts NAS and the stadium errupted!!! Him and Jay went on to spit a verse together in a one-off performance of 'Dead Presidents II'...EPIC is all I can say...then after Nas leaves, as if the show could get any better out comes Beyonce too "Bonnie and Clyde" and I gotta say she is hotter in person than on TV...Jay did a few more songs and guess what he came back to do for the Encore...If i have to tell you then you are dumb and don't deserve to know...j/k...well kinda...it was Encore...anyways show was amazing and capped off one of the best weekends ever...I LOVE LONDON...HOLLA AT CHA BOY

<img style="FLOAT: left; As you know from my last couple posts, I got to go to Germany last weds and thurs for work/fun...

Well it went pretty damn good, Frankfurt is a really nice city, even tho it is full of Germans (apparently if you are British you aren't supposed to like Germans, there were a couple big wars with them around the 30's or something, something about some guy named Adolf)...anyways the city was really cool, I got in around 3pm on Wednesday and left the hotel to tour the city around 4...Spent about 4 hours just walking around takin pics and enjoying the scene...it's really multicultural there as well, kinda reminded me a bit of van city...oh yeah they drive on the right side of the road there which was a nice change, I can't even count the number of times I've nearly been hit crossing the road England cause of the whole driving on the left thing...so yeah after my long walk had some dinner and headed back to the hotel to prep for Thursday’s training session with the good folks of Lufthansa airlines (ps they are a sweet airline to fly, leather seats, good service, runs on time...much respect...and I'm not just saying that cause they are one of our clients)...so got up bright and early the next day to grab some grub and head to the Lufthansa training center at Frankfurt airport...got there at 9 and met up with Pia the marketing head for Lufthansa and got set up to train to about 10 students...so I've never actually trained people before or been any kind of teacher, always been the last person you want to listen to or else the person giving the teacher a hard time...so this was a pretty big change of pace for me, and I now have a lot more respect for teachers...that shit is tough, you got a couple smart kids and few not so smart ones, and trying to keep everyone at the same place and at the same pace is pretty tough and very frustrating...but I made it through the day relatively smoothly and found out I get to do it all over again for one of our other clients in a few weeks...good lord what have I gotten myself into...oh yeah met a pretty cool guy who works in Sweden for Lufthansa and is a snowboarding instructor (or was) but rides in Switzerland all the time and I think I'm gonna head over there to meet up with him and show him how we do it in Canada...or at least how someone from Canada can do it poorly...but yeah from the training session caught my flight back to London and low and behold I ended up on the same flight sitting next to Pia the marketing head...ended up having a great chat with her and getting some good feedback for when I next have to train people, which is always good...anyways landed in London caught my bus home and crashed hard...

Woke up Friday with a cold so called in sick for work and chilled at the house all day...then went out with the roomies in the evening and proceeded to get very drunk and stagger (or cab...im not really sure cause i dont remember) home by myself...woke up around 1pm on sat watched some football and other bs on the tube then headed for a couple socials with the roommates and their buddies at some bar and came home around midnight...pretty chill night which was nice...Sunday got up and checked out a couple places to live, went for a run and chilled...that pretty much sums up my weekend, nothing too exciting at all cept I think I’ve found a place to live which will be a huge monkey off my back...

Oh yeah forgot to mention last week I went to vball on Monday night which was really fun...2 hours of training with drills and shit (haven’t done that since like high school, but it was a good workout) then an hour game...the people I played with were aight but nothing too competitive, however one of the guys there told me to come out on Thursdays to train and play with the div 1 or div 2 men’s team which will be really fun...it will be nice to play in a competitive men’s league instead of coed for once...not that there is anything wrong with playing with girls, just hate feeling bad when they catch a ball in the head (Perdo you of all people know what I’m talking about)...so yeah got some vball tonight which will be fun then, god help me, I’m playing football (soccer) with the roommates on a 5 a side league on Tuesdays...havnt played football in like a decade so this should be very fucking interesting...so yeah that is my life to date...hope you are all keeping real...talk to you soon...

Mr. Scutt
Weekend of London, London and more London

Hello ladies and chaps, so this weekend got a little out of hand...Started things off Friday night with a couple social red bulls and vodkas with the roomies, at which point when I asked "how are we getting home tonight when the trains don't run past 1am in London?"..."we catch the first train in the morning" (630am)...with that in mind I decided 4 or 5 cans of Red Bull should keep me up...so headed down to the train stations around 10pm to make the trek to the world renown Fabric night club in London () with a good buzz and a bottle of booze for the ride down...so we get there and there is the second longest line for a club I've ever seen...the first being the line for the killers on the Wednesday...so we grin and bear it (nice thing about England you can buy booze in the corner store and drink in the lineup)...so over an hour later we get in...The place was unreal 3 floors underground with each floor having a different killer DJ and was rotating all night...ended up shutting the place down at 6am with about 2000 other people then made the trek to the trains home...which resulted in me getting to bed at about 930am...not tired at all :|

Got woken up at about noon the same day to call from Josh's cousin Patrick who wanted me to come London to meet up with him and Josh’s sister Sarah...and me being me figured what the hell, I can sleep when I'm dead...so headed to Ikea with the flatmates in Wembley where i caught the tube into London to meet Pat in Piccadilly circus...hit up a massive sports bar with him and chatted it up while watching the football match (it was kinda packed, standing room only at 5pm on Saturday)...PS: Josh i had to tell him about when you got booed in Vegas, sorry bud but it's a great story...so yeah after the game me and Pat made our to Sarah's place in Putnam after watching some kid on the tube nearly get the shit kicked out of him for wearing the wrong football jersey...my first time seeing real life soccer hooligans (im sure it wont be the last)...So got to Sarah’s met her roomies had some beers then headed to some club in Clapham which was aight, but nothing compared to Fabric...made it a bit of an early night and headed to Pats to crash around 2...had some food chatted for a bit and passed out hard...

Sunday made the long ass trek home where i slept all day and watched the shield...was a pretty good first weekend experience in London, definitely be partying with Pat and Sarah again they good shit...Thanks for getting in touch with them Josh I owe ya! Met the new flatmates Mark and Paul...couple of really cool english "blokes"...the place is pretty cool...never lived in a house that is over 100 years old...don't get the wrong idea it's just been renovated so it's really nice...location is sick, right in the town centre near the "Oracle" (the really cool place on the river where all the shopping and bars and restaurants are) got everything I need close by: gym, university, hospital, food, pubs, pubs and more pubs...so over all I'm really happy with the new digs

Sat night grew into a bit gong show...went to the nearest pub to watch England beat the shit out of Angola (yeah i know big deal...but a wins a win!)...then headed back to the flat and proceeded to polish off a bottle and a half of vodka with the roomies...we headed to a bar at the oracle then to some other club called the vodka room (more vodka than i could ever dream of)...night finished off with a pit stop for some chinese take out on the walk back to the house...

Woke up Sunday with a nasty hang over...but battled through it and headed the shops at the oracle to buy some fresh gear for work...3 hours and a couple hundred pounds later and I look fresh to death for the first day of work...oh yeah that night we went to...take a guess....that's right another pub for the trivia night...i was in heaven...you have some food, drink some beer...then all the tables in the pub play triva for a pound per person...we came 3rd to last but it's all good it was really fun...turns out im not the trival pursuit king of England...

Today is the first day of work...the new boss gave me a ride in his sic new GTI, they are very slow cars : ...met the new coworkers, everyone is really cool...the office is really sweet in this brand new building in the tech sectre of Reading...found out im gonna get a cell paid for by work so guess I won't have to worry about LD calling ;)

Anyways that's all i got for now...hope everyone had an awsome long weekend and I'll post on here again soon...CHEERS

32 hours with no sleep...but I'm here...

Well it may have taken awhile but I finally got to my Granddads house in Hertford, England on Tuesday at about 630pm...wasn't tired at all :

Before I give the run down of how things have gone here just wanted to say thanks to everyone. My last weekend...well summer...in Vancouver has been awsome it couldn't have gone better had I planned it...which as we all know is not something I'm any good at...cept for vacations when it's a Rupie/Bruce/Blizzy colabo...Specifically though I really want to thank all of you who came on Saturday night to my going away party at Video Monster (Duran and Naomi you did a phenomenal job THANKS)...The party went without a hitch (cept for the jackass who thought it would be funny to walk accross the roof of the laser) I had a chance to talk to and say bye to everyone which was great and hopefully you all had a chance to meet some new peeps...Anyways just wanted to give you all a big thanks and let you know you are all more than welcome to come stay at my place in England anytime you want...unless you sold out and didnt come to the party...j/k

So far England has been pretty mellow, was pretty overwhelmed when I got here and realized how much different it is and how I barely know anyone or where anything is...But I've got my shit together now, went into town yesterday with the folks had a couple pints and set up my bank account...though not in that order...checked out the local grocery store Tesco...that place is crazy huge and to be honest most of the food is cheaper here...as well as most other things...so not really sure why everyone says it's so pricey...no wait I remember GAS IS TWICE THE PRICE!!!

Wow the cell phones are sick here (most have at least 2 or 3 mp camera, and you can have video phone calls which is kinda werid but whatevs)...gonna have one early next week or this weekend...not really sure why the phones in Van are so much older than here but whatever, when in Rome....oh yeah and while im talking about phones I'll have a pretty sweet set up once I have my computer from work...I'm gonna use skype and set up a number in Van and one in Vic so all of you can call me whenever you want and it is the same as a regular local call for you...as long as I'm on the comp I can talk...cause that is where my headset will be...also when I got my bank account set up they threw in a sim card for cheap LD calling...so just when you thought you got rid of me I'll be calling everyday...haha suckers

Anyways tonight I'm heading to my uncles for some dinner then to a local pub with my cousin for some drinks with her friends...should be interesting...but most likely take er easy cause I have to be up early to move into my new place in Reading on saturday...get to meet the new roomies or I guess flaties???

So yeah I'll probably post on here again next week...PEACE
