Rockin Reading
Welp, I made it...sorta...got a bit lost on the way here with my Grandparents but one pit stop, two maps, one questioned pedestrian, and two hours later, we made it! Met the new flatmates Mark and Paul...couple of really cool english "blokes"...the place is pretty cool...never lived in a house that is over 100 years old...don't get the wrong idea it's just been renovated so it's really nice...location is sick, right in the town centre near the "Oracle" (the really cool place on the river where all the shopping and bars and restaurants are) got everything I need close by: gym, university, hospital, food, pubs, pubs and more pubs...so over all I'm really happy with the new digs
Sat night grew into a bit gong show...went to the nearest pub to watch England beat the shit out of Angola (yeah i know big deal...but a wins a win!)...then headed back to the flat and proceeded to polish off a bottle and a half of vodka with the roomies...we headed to a bar at the oracle then to some other club called the vodka room (more vodka than i could ever dream of)...night finished off with a pit stop for some chinese take out on the walk back to the house...
Woke up Sunday with a nasty hang over...but battled through it and headed the shops at the oracle to buy some fresh gear for work...3 hours and a couple hundred pounds later and I look fresh to death for the first day of work...oh yeah that night we went to...take a guess....that's right another pub for the trivia night...i was in heaven...you have some food, drink some beer...then all the tables in the pub play triva for a pound per person...we came 3rd to last but it's all good it was really fun...turns out im not the trival pursuit king of England...
Today is the first day of work...the new boss gave me a ride in his sic new GTI, they are very slow cars : ...met the new coworkers, everyone is really cool...the office is really sweet in this brand new building in the tech sectre of Reading...found out im gonna get a cell paid for by work so guess I won't have to worry about LD calling ;)
Anyways that's all i got for now...hope everyone had an awsome long weekend and I'll post on here again soon...CHEERS
