Quick little update...

Hello ladies and gentlemen

Nothing too major to write about for this week...that wasn't much of an opener, not exactly going to entice anyone to read further...ah well, regardless here is what I've been up to:

Lots of vball and work for the past couple weeks...weekends have been spent mostly drinking and buying stuff...splurged on myself and picked up some really nice bedding...i now sleep in what I call a cloud...yes I know that sounded gay...Saturday night was pretty interesting tho...did a little bit of bar hoping...hit up about 4 diff pubs and bars in Reading with a crew about 10 deep then with our everlasting wisdom we decided to head to the University (from here on called Uni) bar called the Union (kinda like Felicita’s at UVic cept way bigger and with three different rooms each playing diff music...also had an upstairs lounge area where you can order these drinks called snake bite for about 2 bucks a peice!! they may be pink and metro sexual but cheap booze is cheap booze so we got nice and messed up and looked ballers buying up the bar infront of all the school kids (so sad)...haha oh yeah the best part is that you have to be going to Uni to get in or else know someone there who can sign you in...we were all old and no longer going to Uni, so we had to ask random 18 year olds in the line if they would sign us and in turn we'd pay their cover...probably one of the lower points in my UK life experience...but it was worth it cause it was a really fun night that ended with Marky B fighting with Pete and falling in the mud (which was wicked), Charlie ended up getting in an argument with a girl and calling her some lovely names because she had had enough of him making fun of her hair (it was really bad hair), no idea what happened to Mooney but somehow he got separated and he has no idea how when he went home but is pretty sure he walked, I took a random cab home by myself cause i had to be up at 8 for vball...thank god the clocks went back an hour...

Vball on Sunday was aight, we won our first match and lost the second match...probably one of the most infuriating games of my life but what can you do...I'll have to take out those frustrations tonight at practice....anyways that's all i got for now...kind of a boring post but if you got this far through it then i guess it wasn’t that boring, or else you have too much free time...k I'm getting back to work.

oh yeah learned a new word and phrase:

MANK = bad
Jiggery pokery = do some tweaking or adjusting of something

T Rex, the Queen, Space Shuttles, and the Rosetta Stone

Aight people, I realize it's been a little while since I gave a post about what I've been up to, so without further adue here we gooooooooooo

Nothing too crazy happened last week, mostly just busy with work, vball, and shiiiiz...however I do have one entertaing story for ya from two weekends ago...before I embarass myself here it's important to note that the front doors of houses here in England lock as soon as you close them...with that little tid bit im sure you can guess what I'm about to tell ya...yes i locked myself out of my house...but don't worry cause my flatmates were both outa town for the weekend...bascially i couldn't get back into my house for 32 hours...thanks for letting me crash in your bed Mark (he picked up some bird at the bar and crashed at her place, before you go thinking me and him were cuddling in bed together)...but yeah would have been nice to have some contact lens solution, tooth, brush, etc...but lesson learned...oh yeah here are a couple pics of my room...

This past weekend was pretty cool, fairly chill but fun none the less...Friday nite went into London to chill with the legendary Pat Healey...got to Clapham Junction (where he lives) around 9pm and picked up some beers...Pat, Jo, and I just chilled at his place drinking beers and watching Team America...Puppet sex scene, gotta love it...Next day i got up nice and early (10am, come on it was Saturday) and decided to have a "London Tourist Day"...so with that in mind I headed off on a double decker to the Museum of Natural history...turns out not a lot has changed since I was last there, however Dinosaur bones are cool no matter how many times you see them...oh yeah got to watch a presentation by some scientist on the team who caught the first whole specimen of a giant squid, was pretty cool, well to me...I’m sure most of you would be unimpressed...after the history museum i headed to the science museum...again not a lot has changed but still pretty fun to check out...the formula one car and the jet engines are pretty sweet...so after the museums I decided I needed some of that fresh downtown London air...well maybe not fresh...but air none the less...so I made way over to Buckingham palace and walked through St. James Park, up through Leicester Square...grabs some Mcdicks...then made my way to the British Museum...WOW I was impressed with two things as soon as i got there...1: the building itself is amazing and the artifacts are really incredible (Rosetta stone, sphinx's chin, pieces of the Parthenon, etc) 2: What a bunch of bloody thieves my ancestors are, I think the British have managed to steal about half of the acropolis and a significant portion of Egypt...god bless colonization...so yeah finished checking out the museum and then headed off to Arsenal to meet up with Pat and a couple buddies from well earned beer...just took it easy drinking beers with the fellas for awhile then decided it was time to make the 1.5 hour trek back home around midnight... Sunday was nice and relaxing, got up around noon, made a kick ass little breakfast (I am the Egg master, challenge me to a cook off I DARE YOU)...then headed to the gym to watch some vball...vball was pretty good, looking forward to playing in some matches...after headed over to Mark, Dave, and Paul’s place to watch some footy and the Shield...so yeah pretty chill weekend... This week will be pretty interesting, just signed on a new client a work so have a ton of work to do to get them all set up with us by Nov 1st...fortunately i have vball tonight and Thursday night...so can take out any frustrations there...Oh yeah got my web cam today...so if ya want to have a creepy conversation with me:

Welcome to the elite QC club Mr. David Marino Cleve Ruperto

As 2006’s senior member of the QC club, I would like to say Happy Birthday and welcome you, Mr. Ruperto to the club on behalf of all its members!

I think you will find this birthday to be a real turning point in your life. If you haven’t already had one, now is the time to have a quarter life crisis where you realize a good chunk of your life is over and you will be dead soon…reality sucks…you may decide to take up drinking more (though I have reviewed your file and I think you have done more than you share for a 25 year old) you may start to think about settling down and having kids (though once again I’ve reviewed your file and I’m quite certain you already are…dropping the “L” bomb was a good start (didn’t think I knew did ya) )…you may also start to think about a career change (or in your case finishing school and starting one)…you may even do something drastic, like someone I know, and fuck off to another country for no particular reason, and just to make the move smoother start seeing a girl who lives on the other side of the planet two weeks before you leave (Not that I know anyone who would do something dumb like that :| )…and finally and possibly most important you will likely realize that the way modern medicine is going we are going to live to 200 so it’s not really a big deal at all, at which point you will grab a bottle of Crystal or perhaps even Grey Goose and get fucked up like you never have before!

Hope ya have a good bday buddy,

Cheerio,

I finally have a home!

Welp I finally have a place to call home...Earlier this week I got a call about a place that I really wanted to move into, letting me know that they had decided I was the favorite person and wanted to offer the place to me...not sure why they picked me, but I'm guessing it was the dimples ;) ...so the place is actually only about 3 years old which is a nice change...most places here are at least 100 years old!...so yeah order my whole bedroom set earlier this week and it will be at the place on Monday at which point I will officially be back to my pimpin self...I will have two roommates: Steve a Scottish bloke, and Michelle an English lass...never lived with a girl before so that will be a bit different...no more walking around the house naked i guess...

So other than getting my house situation sorted out last week I also had a couple things going on at work...We hosted the Responsys Leaders forum in London at that Landmark Hotel (sick hotel)...so I got to meet a lot of clients and have some drinks with the execs of our company...we also got taken out to a really nice dinner in London...finally got to have some sashimi and ahi tuna salad...it had a been awhile...also got to go into London again on Friday for my first solo meeting with a client for a company called which? that went well...was actually kinda fun to pitch to a prospective client...friday night was uneventful...watched most of the first season of sopranos...Saturday ended up being pretty fun...headed to a town called Maystone in Kent for Alanas bday (happy bday Alana)...had some drinks at her place and headed to some pub...then made our way to a bar...3 floors and everyone played SHIT music...I swear to god if i have to hear any more 80's music somebody gonna get hurt reaaaaaaaaaaaaaal bad...so yeah the highlight of the night was the subway on the way home and chatting to some fatties in the line for the cab about why Vancouver is way better than Maystone Kent...sooner or later someone is gonna punch me I'm sure...so yeah just got home and now I gotta move my shit into the new place...and on that note im out...
